After seeing several other bloggers’ great raindrop photos, I was happy when we had some showers here and I was able to grab a few droplet-covered shots of my own.
I was excited because I was actually able to get pretty close and stay in focus on this flower.
I didn't realize until I was looking at the photo later, but you can see all the moisture in the center of the flower as well as on the petals.
I love this angle 🙂
This flower wasn't as cooperative as the pink one.
One lone raindrop
I thought this was a pretty cool shot.
The rain brought out some visitors.
My favorite photo of the day! I spent several minutes trying to figure out if this little guy was real (it was). It was about as long as my thumbnail.

As promised, here are the rest of my non-fire photos from over the weekend, a combination of goats, trees, and beach rocks.
"You put that camera away right now..."
This tree had sparse, but interesting greenery on it.
Another view of the tree limbs
This tree ranged from yellow-green to emerald green.
I had a lot of trouble with the focus on this plant, I think because the individual stalks were so thin, but so abundant.
This little guy was hiding under one of the lawn chairs.
The gravel driveway made for a nice almost-parallel shot.
It wasn't a very nice day for the beach.
This seagull didn't seem to mind the weather, though. It even stopped and posed for me!
While not great for swimming, the cloudy weather did work well for this shot.
